We highly recommend that everyone arrives on Friday.
If you arrive on Saturday, discuss with your crew in advance what to do in case of delayed flights or lost luggage. Recently, airlines have been checking in hand luggage more often, so traveling with hand luggage only does not guarantee it will arrive on time.
Most people do their shopping on Saturday morning. Some supermarkets offer free delivery to the yacht. If you are price-conscious, do a bit of research first: some services may bring you to smaller, more expensive shops. Another option is to take a taxi from a larger, cheaper supermarket.
Some skippers will reprovision halfway through the week, and some will not. Discuss this beforehand so you know whether to buy supplies for the full week.
Check-in is usually between 12:00 - 18:00. So make sure you're ready.
Yachts with early check-in will leave on Saturday afternoon and meet in a nearby bay, usually within one hour of sailing from the marina.
Sunday afternoon is our first rendezvous with the entire flotilla. This location will be within one day of sailing from the marina.
Arrival at the sink bay. We will choose a large bay where we can organize our main event, and we will stay here for two nights. Because of forest fire risk, we will not burn anything; instead, we will sink the effigy. The event may be delayed in case of bad weather.
People with rental yachts must be back at base on Friday afternoon. We will still sleep on board in the marina.
On Saturday morning, we will leave the yachts early and move to the decompression location. Please bring leftover food and drinks to help minimize waste.
